King Solomon penned a piercing, immutable truth: “Death and life are in the power of the tongue.” Truly, “not one person can tame the tongue,” the Apostle James wrote.

And yet, while we use our words as world’s the deadliest bioweapons ever; while we use our untamable tongues to lash out, insult, and curse other people; we can also harness them to proclaim the most beautiful, poetic things that praise our maker, while speaking words of love, joy and peace to our fellow citizens of this earth.

And herein lies the untamable tongue quagmire. Our tongues both bless and curse. They cause wars the world over, while also eloquently glorifying God and edifying the souls of humanity.
